Fight Aids Monaco est issue de deux associations :
- Monaco Sida, créée en 1996 par Miranda Viale-Douala, présidée successivement par le Dr SIONIAC, Mme FORCHINO et le Dr TAILLAN.
- Femmes face au sida, créée en 2003 par S.A.S. la Princesse Stéphanie

FIGHT AIDS MONACO prend son envol en juillet 2004, avec pour mission :

- Informer
- Prévenir
- Soutenir

La possibilité donnée aux personnes de se protéger en situation de risques procède de l’information minimum.
Informer, c’est permettre à chacun d’obtenir les éléments nécessaires à sa réflexion pour déterminer une attitude, un choix, une action…C’est connaître la réalité de l’épidémie du sida, les risques de contamination…
Prévenir, c’est permettre à chacun de pouvoir être en mesure de se protéger et/ou de protéger son(sa) partenaire d’une transmission du vih. C’est connaître les modes de contamination, mais c’est aussi et surtout être capable de savoir quand est nécessaire l’utilisation d’un préservatif, et/ou un test de dépistage, et/ou d’avoir un suivi médical.

C’est dans cette même démarche que FIGHT AIDS MONACO accueille les personnes touchées par le virus du sida afin qu’elles puissent trouver une attention, une écoute, une réponse, une aide psychologique voire matérielle à leurs problèmes.

Les principes fondamentaux de confidentialité, de respect et de non jugement, sont à la base de toute action de l’association.

Sur un plan plus général, FIGHT AIDS MONACO :
Organise des sessions d’information tout public et intervient dans les établissements scolaires et universitaires.
Soutient et aide les personnes touchées par le virus du sida et leurs proches.
Récolte des fonds lors d’évènements caritatifs.
Soutient la recherche.

Ces différentes actions et en particulier les aides financières ponctuelles aux personnes atteintes en difficulté ne sont possibles que par l’intermédiaire de dons privés .

- Monaco Sida, founded in 1996 by Miranda Viale-Douala and subsequently presided over by Dr. Michel SIONIAC, Mrs. Renée FORCHINO and Dr. Bruno TAILLAN.
- Femmes face au Sida, created in 2003 by H.S.H. Princess Stephanie

Fight Aids Monaco was launched in July 2004, with the following goals:

- information
- prevention
- support

In order to protect oneself in a situation involving risk, one has to have acquired a minimum of information.
-to inform means to give each person the necessary means
-to weigh his or her attitudes, choices, actions…
-to know the facts about the AIDS epidemic and the risks of contamination…

To prevent means to provide knowledge for effective protection against the infection of one and/or the other partner in a relationship. i.e. the various means of contamination, but also and above all the awareness of when to use a condom, to test for HIV, to seek medical treatment.

In the same perspective. FIGHT AIDS MONACO receives people who are directly or indirectly affected by the AIDS virus. and offers them consideration. a chance to talk. answers to their questions. and psychological or material support.

All of the Association's actions are based upon a fundamental principal of confidentiality. respect and absence of judgement.

Overall. FIGHT AIDS MONACO:

-organizes informative meetings for the general public. and in schools and universities.
-aids and comforts people afflicted by the AIDS virus and their families.
-collects funds in the context of charitable events.
-supports research.

Our activities. and particularly the financial aid we give to HIV patients in need. are made possible through private contributions.
